Bristol Cathedral (January 23, 2026)

“Artist’s” rendering
Henry VIII ( maybe Henry VD?)

When I entered the Cathedral, I read this sign. I cried.
A display about slavery and the owners that exploited these people.
Proposal for new stained glass windows celebrating African and Caribbean contfinitions to the church and country.
A plaque to commemorate the first 32 women priests

What I respect about England is the celebration of diversity. The respect for women, immigrants, and queer. The desire to take responsibility for a past that includes slavery and reparations. I’m sure there are people who want to go back to the “good old days” and make England “great” again but they are a minority.
