Alayne and Himalayan Honeysuckle

Himalayan Honeysuckle in Cornwall, England
Dame Alayne. A cheeky bird if ever there was one.

I met this beautiful bird, I mean dame, I mean broad, I mean M’lady at the dining table of Ben and April Bennett.

Okay, And, dessert.

On Friday evenings, the Bennetts invite guests, neighbours, friends, and families to gather at their lovely dining table in a wonderful home in Cornwall: Lower Penvose.

April and another pudding masterpiece. Always lovely flowers in the home of gardeners.

On Friday evenings I met Alayne, Nosi, Darius, Neil (Healing Hands), Chris, and, Ian & Sonia. Maybe there are others but it’s been a month and that’s why I need to be more timely in recording.

The conversations were lively and topical. Current events and history were discussed and no one felt the need to grab a smart phone to fact check a neighbour. Sure, there were bristles and slight flaring of nares but the key take away for me was a lesson of tolerance. Many people in England assure me that they are experiencing a level of dissatisfaction with their leaders and countrymen but it feels more civil and respectful.

I am trying to find more photos but this is the truth about great experiences for me: I forget to take a picture because I am in the moment.
